Ivor Heyman
Executive Director

Ivor Heyman is a nonprofit advocate who is committed to building the capacity of nonprofit organizations around the country. He works to strengthen nonprofit organizations by developing seminars, workshops, and other learning opportunities that serve the nonprofit sector. Ivor brings a diverse range of approaches to the work of CPNPS , drawing on the latest management research, organizational theory, and nonprofit educational models.

Ivor graduated with a Bachelors and law degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. After witnessing the effects of violence and conflict in his native country, Ivor committed himself to improving the human condition. He subsequently graduated with a Masters of Law from Duke University (1995), and practiced law for four years in Washington DC. In 1999, he founded Mediate Facilitate to help nonprofit organizations deal with internal conflict and navigate transition. Since then he has helped numerous organizations deal with their most pressing challenges, whether it be the departure of a key executive or charting the organization's future course. Ivor also facilitates board retreats and strategic planning retreats for nonprofit organizations.

Jennifer Winn
Logistics Manager

For eleven years, Jennifer has been planning meetings, conferences, trade-shows, and events across North America. Her events have included everything from smaller seminars and meetings in hotels, churches, and exhibit halls to larger conferences in convention centers, arenas, and stadiums. Jennifer has worked for CFNPS since April 2008 where she manages all event logistics for the Fundraising Summits, including venue research, volunteer and speaker management, and contract negotiations with venues. Jennifer graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas.

Kathleen Ecker
Exhibit and Sponsorship Manager

Kathleen is an experienced event management professional with over ten years of experience. She has assisted CFNPS since February 2008 as an Event Manager, and in 2009 her role expanded to include exhibitor and sponsor management. She has had experience with all aspects of event planning, including managing her own full service event planning firm. She spent four successful years in the Special Events Department at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington DC, where she organized and coordinated exhibition openings, weddings, corporate events and private parties. Prior to that, she worked in the hotel industry as a Sales & Marketing Manager. She also has had extensive experience planning events specifically for nonprofits, including fundraisers, silent auctions and golf tournaments. She has a Bachelors degree from George Mason University.
